Achieving a sustainable cancer care in a sustainable world. This is the idea that moved Dr Joakim Crona from the University Hospital Uppsala Akademiska Sjukhuset, Sweden, to run an initiative – 'A train to ESMO' for the climate - encouraging all the oncology community to take a train rather than the airplan to reach main events in the field across Europe. He with other six colleagues came to Barcelona for ESMO 2019 by train to raise awareness on how to reduce emission of the carbon dioxide related to flying by airplane.
